Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

There is a new order in North America. The nation of Panem has a shining Capital, which is surrounded by twelve outlying districts. Each district's function is to provide goods for the Capital. Every year the districts have a celebration to choose, by a lottery, a male and female  representative to attend the Hunger Games. This honor can be bestowed on  any child twelve to eighteen. The winner of the Games returns to his or her district with prizes and pride...
